# Merx::exceptionDetails()

> Diagnostic details of an exception, for use in `Exception::$details`

## Parameters

## Return type

`array`

Empty array unless Kirby’s `debug` option is enabled

## Description

The API is reachable without authentication, so internals such as the file
path are only handed out while `debug` is on. The full exception is written
to the log either way.
