# $merx->initializeOrder()

> Creates virtual OrderPage and validates it. Runs the payment gateway’s `initializePayment` function. Saves virtual OrderPage in the customer’s session.

The return URL, or the `redirect` that the gateway’s `initializePayment` set on the virtual order page.

## Exceptions
